The Giants have reportedly released Plaxico Burress. We will get you more information as it comes out. Apparently he is facing gun possession charges which could land him in jail.
We will attempt to get an interview on this as soon as possible.
IN MY OPINION - This is a good move ONLY if they can finish it. It’s a 2 part move in my opinion, and the 2nd part consists of getting someone to replace him. The wide receiver personnel on the Giants right now is not good enough to get the job done. They need a dominant #1 receiver.

They can go ahead and pay high for Boldin or Braylan. They’ve got 10 picks - 9 of which are tradeable. They don’t need _more_ receivers and they won’t get that kind of talent in the draft.

Getting Edwards from Cleveland will cost them draft picks AND a high-caliber player like Steve Smith. They’ll have to sweeten the pot by giving the Browns 3 or 4 pics and a so-so receiver (Hixon most likely). They’ll pull the trigger on this one a couple of days before the draft, if not on draft day.
