The Giants will not resign K John Carney, once again giving the job to our favorite Scotsman, Lawrence Tynes. Carney officially missed 3 FG’s in the regular season, however the first 2 of those were blocks. His first miss came in a crucial moment in the last game of the season against Minnesota, which of course was meaningless. But then Carney missed 2 FG’s in the Giants’ playoff loss to the Eagles.

Also, thanks to Ralph Vacchiano for the update: The Hefty Lefty, the Pillsbury Throwboy, Jared Lorenzen, now listed at 285 pounds, has signed a small contract with Arena Football 2. He will make $200 per game and a $50 bonus for each win. Good luck Jared! I’m still a fan.
